Project Development Post 1

Architecture is the physical manifestation of needs identified through multiple contexts from a macro to micro scales. The climatic, cultural, ecological, economic, geographical, political, social and technological contexts are just some of the factors influencing the solution and the process of achieving a holistic design.

Needs are not static. Needs are informed by the past, the present and a multiple of future possibilities. Rather than responding to today Architects must envision, enlighten and educate preparing for the long term through both the built environment and new strategies for the future.

This semester my challenge is to envision a future that has a well-considered contextual response, highly imaginative plot and creating a stage for the future surrounding built environment.
